Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain words.

Who we are

BotTalks (bottalks.co) is a community directory where people discover Grok bot helpers and share their experiences using them. BotTalks is operated from the United States. Not affiliated with xAI, OpenAI, or Anthropic. We only link to official public share links.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile details they share with us (such as your name). Passwords are stored scrambled and nobody at BotTalks can read them.
  • Profile details you choose to add: display name, bio, profile photo, location and website.
  • What you post and do: experiences and replies, “helpful” votes, saved bots, bots you mark as used, bot suggestions and reports you send.
  • Messages to us: the name, email and message you send through our Contact or Enterprise forms.
  • Technical basics: information your browser sends automatically, such as device type and pages visited, plus a small amount of browser storage that keeps you signed in.

We do not collect payment card details. If paid plans are switched on, payments are handled by a dedicated payment provider and card details go directly to them.

How we use it

  • To run your account, show your profile and posts, and remember your saved bots and plan.
  • To keep the community safe: enforcing fair-use limits, preventing spam and reviewing reports.
  • To reply when you contact us and to send account emails such as sign-in codes and password resets.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

What other people can see

  • Your experiences and replies are public, shown with your display name.
  • Your profile is public by default. You can hide it at any time from your account page; a hidden profile and its photo are visible only to you.
  • Your email address, votes, saved bots and reports are never shown to other members.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run BotTalks (such as hosting, database, sign-in and email delivery, and a payment provider if paid plans are switched on), and only as needed for them to provide that service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our members.

Links to bots

BotTalks links to official public Grok bot pages. When you open one, you leave BotTalks and that service's own privacy policy applies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, photo and personal details, and remove or anonymize your posts, except where we must keep limited records for legal, security or billing reasons.

Your choices and rights

  • Edit your display name, profile, photo and privacy setting at any time on your account page.
  • Delete your own posts, saved bots and “used” marks.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account through our Contact page (choose “Privacy or delete my data”).

Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests.

Security

Access to account data is restricted so members can only see and change their own private information, and profile photos are stored privately. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

BotTalks is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us and we will delete the account.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and we'll let members know about important changes. Questions? Reach us through the Contact page.
